General Discontent
Saturday was a big day. Dan the Man hosted a marathon of all the extended editions of The Lord of the Rings. We started at 9:15 A.M., taking meal breaks between movies. We finished around 11:00 P.M. He had a projector playing them on his living room wall. It was majestic. One marathon to rule them all.
I probably won't get to enjoy that trilogy for several more months. It got me thinking about how great it is to watch those movies after a prolonged period of anticipation. It was kind of sad, because I was reminded that movies will never be quite that good again. I mean, I'm excited about the big movies coming out this summer, but... come on.
I thought I'd at least be able to afford a bigger TV by now. Oh well, I'll just continue to mooch off of others' home theater systems for such marathons. Not that I could compete with Dan's 100-inch projection of The Lord of the Rings.
Meanwhile, I continue my mundame existence. Money sucks, and life is generally boring at the moment. I'm trying to formulate a plan to change that. The marathon is partly responsible for making me decide to carpe the diem, having reminded me how totally sweet life can be. Now, if only I knew what I was talking about...

That's supposed to say "mundane" instead of "mundame"... I don't even know what mundaMe is.
There's always a bigger typo...

Andrea and I are going to have our LOTR marathon this Sunday.
It's been about a year and that's just too damned long!
