Moonlighting

My righteous indignation and stern misanthropy have been come to a head. For a long time now I have felt (increasingly) fed up with the Bad Apples of the People Tree, fed up with evildoers getting away with their actions. I’m talking about real shit, not just rude customers or snobby rich people you run into out there in the “real” world.

Basically, I know a person who was screwed over by a trusted friend. This associate of mine sold his/her car to someone months ago for a helluva deal, signed the papers, and more or less had a verbal agreement for a payment plan. The bastard took the car, never paid, and later moved. (WTF?!) As time went on and things progressed, my associate eventually took legal action. But the papers were in this bastard’s name, so my associate couldn’t even report it stolen. Um… okay, so there’s an obvious solution to this problem: “steal” it back. If it’s your car, you’re not stealing—you’re repossessing.

I immediate volunteered my services; by night, after all, I moonlight as Austin’s vigilante superhero… and I’m pissed. Too long have the wicked gone unpunished. Too long have the wrongdoers won the day, in situations big or small. I have been pissed off for too long, and when I heard this tale, I took decisive action.

So we’re periodically going to take nocturnal patrols, checking all suspected locations where my associate’s car might be. And we’re going to take it back. And that’s all there is to it.

Stop being kicked around. It’s time to stop wrongdoers in their tracks. Take back what’s rightfully yours, whether material or abstract. Do it. Justice is a dish best prepared yourself.
