Leaving Bowling Green
This is my final post from Ohio. The family came up tonight to see the town again and help me move. The Great Escape. I’m not sorry to leave, but I’m not eager, either. I’m just ready. It’s time to move on.
Tomorrow we’ll do lunch with some of my friends at the local popular pizza place (every college town has that one non-chain restaurant that’s unique to the town and makes the best pizza in the world). Perhaps some mini-golf after the food settles. Jack (the beagle) will no doubt enjoy my fenced-in yard. Sunday morning the convoy ships out. We move me out, and move my sister in.
Since I may not post for a while (that depends on my parents’ dial-up connection), I’ll make a few predictions for August…
I’ll see a lot of extended family next week. Living with my parents, I’ll keep looking for jobs until I find something. My brother will host a barbecue sometime soon. I’ll pay a visit to my old roommate who recently moved to Hannibal with his wife. I’ll also hang out with my old high-school buddy David “Snake” Isgrig. I might ride with Jordan to Santa Barbara as he moves there for grad school, then fly back. I’ll continue working on a piece I started last weekend. I’ll finally finish reading the epic New Jedi Order series. I’ll meet up with Dan Haskins a few times to go over some musical ideas for the film. I’ll unpack everything just in time to start packing it up again to move out.

"Leaving Bowling Green"...
Sounds like a country song

What do you get when you play a country song backwards?
You get your wife back, you get your truck back, you get your trailer back, you get your dog back...
