Martinis, Girls, Guns
I love how spontaneously this day keeps salvaging itself. I haven’t seen my friends Ling or Dean in probably two months. Out of the blue, I found myself hanging out with Ling’s family. Then, when they suddenly became too tired to do anything, I found myself going to the plaza to meet Dean for coffee and Casino Royale.
Something about getting Dean and me together says trouble. If “trouble” can be suave, sharp, and just plain money.
I’m just glad I finally get to see Casino Royale before it leaves theaters. I have a strong urge to attempt a Bond movie every night in January. I doubt I could pull it off. I was also wondering, during the drive over, what it would be like if John Powell did a Bond score. That would be awesome. Maybe it’s a guy thing, but listening to 007 in your car just makes you feel… cool.

I imagine a Bond score by John Powell score would sound similar to his Bourne movies and the one cue in Shrek where they're escaping from the dragon with all the techno loops.
I think David Arnold's score for Casino Royale is actually his best Bond score yet.
You're so f#$king money and you don't even know it!

Ever since Saturday, I've been listening to some high-roller tunes. Ocean's 11, Mission Impossible III, Bond...

And then I realized I still don't have any money, so I can't even so much as afford a $20 trip to the casino... so now I'm listening to the depressing K-19 The Widowmaker.

I just watched that episode Tuesday night! It's one of the few two-parters.
